GSLTC Trials Nov 10, 11, 12

Wow! What a weekend! So much fun!!! This is how it went:

Friday morning we got a qualifying score (75) in Rally Intermediate, leg 1.

In the afternoon we got our first leg in Novice A with a score of 187.5, 2nd place.

Saturday our rally score was 99, 2nd place, even though I got a little lost trying to find my way out of the ring 🤪

…and in the afternoon, with a score of 190.5 in Novice A, we got a 1st place ribbon!

Sunday we qualified in rally with a score of 79.
Third leg = Rally Intermediate Title
Yay!!!

Last but not least, our final Novice A trial. With a score of 186.5 we took first place!
Third leg =  Novice A Title and CD
Another yay!!!
So proud of my little nugget of a dog!

We weren’t even close to perfect but we did okay. I know I need to work on speeding up while maintaining small steps. Looking at the score sheet at the end it was interesting to find I lost more points on leash than off! Moving into Graduate Novice  and Advanced rally will be good for us. No leash! Yikes!!!

Thank you so much Roxanne for the countless hours of training, your support, friendship, patience and for believing in me and Mo when I didn’t think we could do this.

Thank you, Kim, for all your help and encouragement in our mini training sessions. Also thank you for helping so much at the trials.  You’re a good friend and a great cheer leader!!!

Allyson, thank you also for all your training tips and for letting us use your incredible facility for training. I have learned much from you! Thank you!

Brad and Alice. It was so nice to spend some time with you over the weekend. Thank you  for your support and kind words.

Jessi, thank you for Molly!!! We love her!! Thank you, also, for all your help in getting us to this point. Like Roxanne, you have put so much effort and time into training both Molly and I. You are awesome!!

And Loni. Thanks to you for all those hours you spent with us during our Foundation Course and now PPP. You have a lot of knowledge regarding training and ring etiquette. Thank you for sharing that with me!

And my husband, Mike. Honestly I couldn’t have done any of this without you being an active participant into this forage into the dog training world! Thank you for all the videos you have taken, all the dog training equipment you’ve built, driving us all over the place, and for loving our crazy Mo! I am confident that one day you will be able to watch the trials from close up without Molly losing her mind when she sees you. Until then, I know you’ll continue to be creative in finding places to hide where you can watch but not be seen! Love you ❤️

And to everyone else who has been a part of our journey. You are all loved and appreciated more than you know!!

Fall Fun!

Molly and I went for a walk this evening and found a great pile of leaves. I didn’t have any “fetch” items with me so I improvised with a pack of tissues that just happened to be the same color of the leaves.

I was alone so this video is pretty choppy. But Molly did it!!! She fetched the tissues! Yay!
