 LESSON 6 – The Sit Signal

 Objective: Reliability around distractions

 Training Pattern

1.      Start using distractions when dog is responding to Sit Signal from one step away.

2.      Work out to a leash length away Sit Signal.

      *IMPORTANT* Once the verbal "Sit", in conjunction with the Sit Signal ceases, then ONLY 

     use the right hand to indicate Sit.

TEST: Demonstrate that dog understands the verbal and hand signal and will go from Down to Sit on command. Do 3 times with 3 different distractions. Name the distractions.
